Sport Highlights-

We are proud of our Football team for the win last night against Silver Creek!  The team was down at halftime 26-14, but rallied together as a team and made the comeback complete and won the game 29-26!  The players and coaches have been working tirelessly and deserve this win!!

If you’ve not seen or read this article about last night’s soccer game, please do so! This team is remarkable and this article begins to describe just how remarkable they really are. Congrats to our 5th ranked (in class 4A) soccer team and their coaches for a well deserved win. SHS was down 1-0 with 13 minutes to play and rallied to comeback and win 2-1!

Upcoming Superintendent’s Town Hall Meetings

St. Vrain Valley Schools invites parents, teachers, staff, and community members to join Superintendent, Dr. Don Haddad, for one of our upcoming Superintendent Town Hall meetings. These annual open forums in each of our geographic areas provide an opportunity for Dr. Haddad and other district leaders to listen to our community’s questions and suggestions, share our many successes, and discuss our bold vision for continuing to build new schools as our student enrollment continues to climb.

Monday, October 2, 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Skyline High School
Tuesday, October 3, 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Erie High School
Wednesday, October 4, 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Mead High School

You’re Invited: Innovation Center Student Team Job Fair

Students in grades 8-12 and their families are invited to attend the Innovation Center’s Student Team Job Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Innovation Center of St. Vrain Valley Schools. Student Teams are paid, work-based learning opportunities where high school students explore possible career options through various hands-on projects and mentoring from industry professionals.

Picture Retake Day

Tuesday, October 3rd Studio 5 will be at Skyline in the Commons for Picture Retake Day.

Students will have an opportunity before school, their Time Release, during Lunch, or after school.

Save the Date- NMSQT and Practice SAT

The NMSQT and the Practice SAT will take place on October 11th.  Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will test on this day.  Seniors will have asynchronous learning for the day.  The test is estimated to be slightly more than 2 hours, once the test is over, students may go home.

Fall 2023 Parent Teacher Conferences

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming conferences where we will have the opportunity to discuss your child’s academic progress and growth. Conferences will be on Wednesday, October 11th and Thursday, October 19th at Skyline High School.

Please sign up for a time slot through our online booking system Meet the Teacher. This year we will be having 2 sessions on each day, the first session will be Virtual and the second session will be in person.

(Check in at the office for a Translator, it will be on a first come first serve basis)

Yearbook/Senior Photos/Baby Ad

Senior photos are due by Friday, October 27, 2023. There will be a $10 late fee for any pictures submitted after this date. We will no longer be accepting photos after Friday November 10th, 2023.

If you want to show off more of those baby pictures, Senior recognition ads can be purchased until October 27th, 2023 for early bird pricing. They will remain on sale at the regular price until December,1st 2023.

Safe2Tell has created a newsletter to be shared with students via email or other electronic communication. The purpose of this newsletter is to share updates about Safe2Tell with youth, and to also serve as a reminder that Safe2Tell is here if they have concerns about their, or their peers’, safety. Safe2Tell will send a new student newsletter each semester. We hope you will find this helpful in keeping your school community safe. Thank you for your partnership!

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE MEALS

We will be showing our Skyline teachers and staff our appreciation! The Booster Club is coordinating a dinner for our teachers and staff during conferences on Wednesday, October 11th. 

The theme is Chili Night, and all items need to be dropped off on October 11th by 4:30 p.m. that day. We will also need a couple of folks to help us set up and clean up.
