Falcon Tech & Small Business – Front Range Graduation: On Thursday night, we celebrated a remarkable achievement as over 20 FalconTECH students earned their Associate’s Degree from Front Range Community College — all before graduating high school! We also had close to another 20 students earn their small business certification from Front Range as well.  Coupled with a few students who completed their degree in their 5th year, Skyline had over 40 students at this commencement!  This incredible milestone reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and a deep commitment to academic excellence. These students have truly exemplified what it means to be future-ready, and we couldn’t be more proud of their dedication and success. Way to go, Falcons!

Heart of the Arts – Excellence in Motion:The National High School Heart of the Arts Award, established by the NFHS in 2014, honors individuals who exemplify the core mission of education-based activities and the positive spirit of the arts. Annually conferred to eight sectional winners and one national recipient from member high schools, this year’s prestigious 2026 State Winner and Section 6 representative is Fernando Gurrola of Skyline High School, Colorado. A dedicated student leader in both orchestra and mariachi, Fernando strengthens his ensembles through musicianship and generosity, frequently supporting his peers by rewriting music, leading sectionals, and mentoring younger students. His commitment to accessibility and inclusion fosters a thriving ensemble culture, proving that his leadership through service truly embodies the Heart of the Arts.

Skyline Mariachi in the News: CBS Colorado recently featured the Viva Southwest Mariachi Conference at MSU Denver, highlighting how students from across the state—including our very own Falcons—are mastering the art of mariachi. Skyline students were interviewed for the segment! You can watch the full feature and see our talented musicians in action.  Here is a link to the video and another link to the article.

NHS Induction:  Last Thursday evening, we proudly celebrated the induction of over 25 outstanding students into Skyline’s National Honor Society! The ceremony was a beautiful tribute to scholarship, leadership, service, and character — the four pillars of the NHS. We are so excited to welcome these new members into this prestigious organization and look forward to the impact they will continue to make in our school and community. Congratulations, Falcons!

Falcons are future ready:  Students in the Career Leadership In Manufacturing and Business (CLIMB) program at Skyline have hit a remarkable landmark, having already secured 85 industry certifications with 20 more currently in progress. This significant feat means Skyline is set to exceed 100 total certifications by the conclusion of the academic year. These credentials are vital in keeping our students globally competitive and ready for the modern professional world, and we look forward to celebrating the hard work and dedication of these exceptional individuals.

Skyline Feeder Concert:   On Saturday we had another great day at Skyline! We welcomed our feeder schools for a fantastic feeder concert, showcasing incredible talent of our future Falcons and our current Falcons!

Visual Arts Capstone Night:   Tuesday night we honored our visual arts students at our capstone/senior night. The class of 2026 is a very talented group with an extremely bright future!

Students of the Month: Congratulations to our Students of the Month and our Student Athletes of the Month! These Falcons were selected for demonstrating exceptional leadership, character, and academic effort.

Rising Falcons:   Over the past two weeks our Skyline student leaders visited our feeder middle schools.  There were amazing events and a way for our current Falcons to connect with the incoming class of 2030.

Walk of Champions:  On Monday, we celebrated our state-bound athletes with the final Walk of Champions for the school year, led by our drumline and cheerleaders. We are incredibly proud to honor our 2026 Colorado State Track and Field competitors, including Miley Davis (Triple Jump and Long Jump), Cameron Wilson (Shot Put), Hayley Reedy (Pole Vault), and Logan Mault (Pole Vault). We also recognized Girls Golf state qualifier Colbie Hanson and the entire Ultimate Frisbee team for capping off one of their most successful seasons in program history. Good luck to all our Falcons competing at the state level this weekend!

Day of Champions:  On Monday, students from Skyline joined others from across the district for an incredible Day of Champions. Participants enjoyed a variety of games and activity stations, including a fan-favorite dunk tank where they had the opportunity to dunk our principal! The day of celebration and community concluded with a festive pizza party for all the athletes.

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool

St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.

Parents and guardians received an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
