Message from Principal

Dear Skyline Families,

Our students brought an incredible energy to the start of the new year, enriching their learning and setting the tone for a fantastic spring semester. We are excited to continue building on our academic growth at Skyline High School, partnering with you to support every student’s success. The first half of the school year was outstanding, and I am deeply grateful for the wonderful support from our entire community.

We started the semester off with some incredible accomplishments by our students!

  • Senior wrestler Tobias Pinson hit a major milestone, achieving 100 Varsity wins—congratulations, Tobias!
  • Senior Football player Oliver Glasser was invited to compete in the Colorado All State Games—congratulations, Oliver!

Attendance is essential for our students’ success. Starting this week, we will update our tardy policy: students with 5 tardies in a week will receive lunch detention. This averages to one tardy per day. These updated expectations were shared with students during advisory classes prior to break. Thank you for your support in reinforcing the importance of being on time!

Important Reminders:

  • MLK Day: There will be no school on Monday, January 20, in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: Save the dates! Conferences will take place on Wednesday, February 12th and Thursday, February 13th.
  • Attendance: The new year is the perfect time to recommit to daily attendance. We love seeing our amazing students working hard and making progress every day!
  • Nutrition Services: Reminder students attending classes at CETC or the Innovation Center and taking lunch at those locations may not take an additional lunch at Skyline, or vice versa. Students are permitted one lunch per day unless they choose to pay for a second meal.
  • For more information or questions, please contact the Nutrition Department.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we step into the new year with inspiration and purpose. Together, we’re creating a bright future for every student. Wishing you all a joyful and successful 2025!

#WeAreSkylineEveryDay

Sincerely,
Anthony Barela
