Message from Principal
Skyline Families,
As we close out April and look ahead to May, it’s hard to believe we are in the final stretch of the school year! Seniors have just three weeks left, and the rest of our students have four weeks to go. This is a crucial time for all Falcons to stay focused, stay present, and finish strong.
As we move through these final weeks, we ask for your partnership in helping your student cross the finish line successfully. Please encourage your student to:
- Attend school every day and be on time — every day counts!
- Stay organized and check grades regularly
- Ask for help when needed — our teachers, counselors, and support staff are here to help.
- Get plenty of rest and take care of their well-being
Together, we can ensure our students stay on track and finish the semester with pride. Thank you for your continued support of Skyline High School — and for being an essential part of your student’s journey.
Today & Tomorrow are your last days to watch Guys and Dolls!: Set in the bustling streets of Dave Runyon’s 1948 New York City, this “Oddball Comedy” follows the high-stakes world of gambler Nathan Detroit and his long-suffering fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide. When Nathan bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can’t woo the straight-laced Salvation Army Mission worker Sarah Brown, the stakes rise from the sewers of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba. Featuring iconic songs like “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” this production showcases the incredible talent of the Skyline Performing Arts Academy from spotlight to stage wings to orchestra pit! Join us for an evening of romance, comedy, and show-stopping musical numbers! You can purchase tickets for the shows on April 24 & April 25 using this LINK.
Thank you Boosters: A huge thank you to the Skyline Booster Club for their incredible work in transforming the Longmont Rec Center into “Hotel Skyline” for this year’s After Prom! It was a spectacular night that provided a fun, high-energy, and—most importantly—safe environment for our students to celebrate. We know this transformation required a tremendous amount of effort and late nights, and we are so deeply grateful for our amazing parent group and the wonderful partnership that makes events like this possible for our Falcons.
Skyline Art Show Success: The recent art show has concluded, and we are incredibly proud to share that Skyline had a very strong showing! Four of our talented Falcons—Kylie Paul, Lexi Hill, Fiona Anderson, and Mary-Ellen Turrill—were specifically honored with the Excellence Award for their outstanding work.
Stapp Inspires: We are thrilled to celebrate our incredible Skyline Math Department for being honored with the Stapp Toyota Inspires Award! This recognition highlights the “best of our community,” and our math team’s dedication to student success truly embodies that spirit. Please join us in congratulating Stacy Fox, Acadia Gurney, Kaela Hellmann, Jeanette Schahrer, Kendra Versoi, Kenneth Versoi, Rachel Wicker, Andrew Scott, and Melitsa Avila for this well-deserved achievement. Be sure to look for them as they are showcased as the community’s best in the coming month!
Academic Awards Night – Academic Awards Night will be held on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:00 PM in the Vance Brand Auditorium. This will be a special evening dedicated to celebrating the hard work, perseverance, and academic excellence of our outstanding Falcons. If your student is being recognized for an award, you should have already received a personal notification and invitation to the ceremony. Please join us as we honor their achievements and cheer on our incredible student community!
Registration reminders: This is an exciting time as we get ready for the 2026-2027 school year, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Below are important dates and reminders to guide you and your student through the process.
- May 2026: Student Schedules Released. Mark your calendars! Student schedules for the 2026-2027 school year will be available in mid May.

Attendance: Attendance is key to success. We have limited time until the end of the school year. Please make sure your students are here and on time. Also, please remember that absences must be excused within 48 hours. If you have any questions or concerns, students should reach out to their assistant principal as soon as possible. Let’s work together to make prom a night to remember!
Thank you for your continued partnership as we step into the new year with inspiration and purpose.

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool
St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.
Parents and guardians received an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
