Message from Principal
Dear Skyline Families,
This week, our amazing students rose to the challenge and gave their all on the SAT and PSAT — a major milestone on their path toward future success! We’re so proud of their effort, focus, and determination throughout the testing process. Way to go, Falcons!
As we enter the final stretch of the semester, this is the perfect time to stay focused and finish strong. With just six weeks remaining — and only four and a half for our seniors — each day is an opportunity for growth, progress, and achievement.
Let’s continue to encourage our students to:
- Stay on top of their academic goals
- Maintain strong attendance
- Build productive habits
- Reach out for support when needed
SAT Testing: Excellent job by our junior class on Tuesday as we had a 96% participation rate for our SAT test! This is the highest first day participation rate we have seen in a number of years. We are extremely proud of this group and we cannot wait to see the results for their hard work!

Falcon Programs Demonstrate Excellence: It has been an incredible month for a number of our programs! Please join us in honoring these outstanding Falcons, whose hard work and dedication continue to define the spirit of excellence at Skyline:
- Orchestra: Our Skyline Orchestra continues to impress! Their recent performances showcased remarkable technical skill and artistry as they earned superior marks at the most recent CHSAA event, reflecting the hard work they put into every rehearsal.

- FCCLA Success: A huge congratulations to Rosie De Santiago for her exceptional work with FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). Her leadership and projects continue to set a high standard for our chapter earning high marks at the state level.

- Model UN: Seniors Travis Hadley and Ash Berkowitz recently competed in their final conference, marking the end of their distinguished years of service with the Skyline Model UN squad. Competing in the Advanced Historical Council, Ash Berkowitz represented U.S. Secretary of State Henry Stimson and earned the “Outstanding Delegate” Award. We celebrate both students for their long-term dedication and Ash’s impressive final accolade.

- DECA region 7 representative: We are proud to announce that Marely Villanueva has been selected as the Region 7 Delegate for the state of Colorado. In this prestigious role, she will represent both Skyline High School and the entire state at the National DECA Convention in Atlanta later this year. We look forward to cheering her on as she competes and leads on the national stage!

Board Meeting Presentation: We were honored to have Jesus Huerta Mosqueda and Mikaela Stromquist represent Skyline at the recent Board of Education meeting. They did a fantastic job presenting our school’s progress and initiatives to district leadership. Jesus presented P-Tech and Mikaela was selected from the superintendent student advisory committee.
Save the Date for our spring play – Guys and Dolls!: Set in the bustling streets of Dave Runyon’s 1948 New York City, this “Oddball Comedy” follows the high-stakes world of gambler Nathan Detroit and his long-suffering fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide. When Nathan bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can’t woo the straight-laced Salvation Army Mission worker Sarah Brown, the stakes rise from the sewers of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba. Featuring iconic songs like “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” this production showcases the incredible talent of the Skyline Performing Arts Academy from spotlight to stage wings to orchestra pit! Join us for an evening of romance, comedy, and show-stopping musical numbers! You can purchase tickets for the shows on April 23, April 24 & April 25 using this link.

St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.
Parents and guardians received an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
