Message from Principal

Dear Falcon Parents and Guardians,

As Thanksgiving Break approaches next week, I hope you can take time to enjoy the holiday with your loved ones. Thanksgiving offers a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the many positive aspects of our lives, and I am deeply grateful to be part of such an amazing community alongside you and your families. Enjoy this well-deserved time off, and as a reminder, when we return, we’ll have just two short weeks before finals.

I’m excited to celebrate this year’s SVVSD High School Honor Orchestra events, which, for the first time, included the SVVSD Honor Mariachi. Both groups were audition-only, and we are incredibly proud to share that 10 Skyline students were selected to participate:
Fernando Gurrola, Shea Archie, Johnny Sanchez, Yeneli Castillo, Lela Dickey, Julissa Enriquez, Audrey Prado King, Reyli Rico, William Mathews, and Manuel Valdez.
Congratulations to these talented Falcons!

Our winter sports season kicked off on Monday, and we’re thrilled to see so many student-athletes participating in Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Girls Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, and Winter Cheerleading. We look forward to an exciting season ahead.  When we return in December, we will host both boys and girls basketball tournament games starting on Tuesday, December 3rd and games will run through Saturday, December 7th.

As we approach the end of the semester, we are proud of our students’ dedication and achievements. At Skyline, we remain committed to fostering academic excellence and personal growth. Thank you for being such an essential part of this incredible community.

Let’s continue to encourage our students to finish the semester strong. Together, we are building a foundation for every student’s success.  Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support.  We look forward to seeing everyone in December.   #WeAreSkylineEveryDay

Sincerely,

Anthony Barela
Principal, Skyline High School

  1. Get a Library Card: You can visit the library to fill out a form and get a card for just $1. If you need any help with this, feel free to email me directly.
