Message from Principal

Dear Skyline Families,

As we approach the final stretch of the semester, we encourage our students to stay focused on academic progress, maintain strong attendance, and develop productive habits that will set them up for a successful finish. With only six weeks remaining in the semester—and five for our seniors—each day presents an opportunity for growth and achievement.

Important Testing Dates: As we prepare for our upcoming state and national assessments, we want to ensure our Skyline students are ready to put their best foot forward and showcase their incredible intelligence. These assessments are a valuable opportunity for our Falcons to demonstrate the academic growth and high-level skills they have developed throughout the year. Because these tests serve as key indicators of student achievement, we encourage everyone to approach them with confidence and give their absolute best effort!

Please take note of the following important testing dates:

  • Juniors:
    • Tuesday, April 14 – SAT
    • Friday, April 17 – CMAS Science (11th Grade)
  • Freshmen & Sophomores:
    • Wednesday, April 15 – Practice SAT

These assessments play a vital role in preparing students for future academic success, including college readiness and career pathways. We appreciate your support in ensuring students are well-prepared, well-rested, and ready to showcase their hard work. Thank you for your partnership in helping our students succeed!

Skyline Jazz Fest:  Last Friday, we were honored to host the Skyline Jazz Fest, a fantastic event that brought together talented jazz bands from across the district and the entire region. It was an inspiring showcase of musical excellence, and I am so proud of our band students for being such phenomenal hosts and performers.

Falcons Demonstrate Excellence:  We are incredibly proud to announce that two of our outstanding Falcons, Daisy Viera Simental and Brayden Strock, have been selected for prestigious recognition by the Longmont Rotary! Daisy is the recipient of the Compassion Award, while Brayden has earned the Slick Hailey Award, both of which highlight the exceptional character and leadership these students bring to our school community every day!  To celebrate their achievements, a special luncheon and ceremony will be held on April 21st to showcase our winners and their families.

Save the Date for our spring play – Guys and Dolls!:  Set in the bustling streets of Dave Runyon’s 1948 New York City, this “Oddball Comedy” follows the high-stakes world of gambler Nathan Detroit and his long-suffering fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide. When Nathan bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can’t woo the straight-laced Salvation Army Mission worker Sarah Brown, the stakes rise from the sewers of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba. Featuring iconic songs like “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” this production showcases the incredible talent of the   Skyline Performing Arts Academy from spotlight to stage wings to orchestra pit!  Join us for an evening of romance, comedy, and show-stopping musical numbers!  You can purchase tickets for the shows on April 23, April 24 & April 25 using this LINK.

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool

St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.

After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.

Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.

iPad Insurance and Fees

Students can still add iPad Insurance, just bring your iPad up to the Library to be inspected by Mrs. Sebring. After inspected the fee will be added in Infinite Campus, and parents can pay either online or in the main office.
