Hello SVVSD Families,
We hope your school year is off to an exciting start. Padres Involucrados en La Educación/Parents Involved in Education is excited to bring another year of programming to our families. PIE has been offering programming since the fall of 2008, so we are officially in our 15th school year of programming and partnership with you, SVVSD, and families.
Please see the attached fall calendar for upcoming learning sessions and please help us spread the word! We’ve delivered flyers to all our Title One schools or posters to those schools that are going green. If you’d like to order printed copies for your school, upcoming events, or posters, please use this link to place an order.
Here are a couple of essential program updates for the 2023-2024 school year:
- Our first session is next Wednesday, September 13th– Topic is School Safety, and Presenters include Johnnie Terrell, Olga Cordero, and Richard Peebles
- Timberline Prek-8 is the host school, and dinner is served from 5:30-6 p.m.- Las Palmeras is providing dinner our first night.
- We will still have a hybrid option for families to join online if they cannot attend in person.
- We now offer organized and scheduled children’s activities in partnership with the Longmont Library! Please see the flyer- Sept. 13th – Movement with Anima Arts and Mexican Art Crafts (September Hispanic Heritage Month)

Booster Club News
HOMECOMING TAILGATE: Help us make the 2023 Skyline Homecoming Season a celebration of school spirit! We are having a Booster Sponsored tailgate in Skyline parking lot on Tuesday, September 12th at 5:30 p.m.
Join in the fun to enjoy the festivities, food and watch Falcon Soccer against Silver Creek on our home field. The Varsity game starts at 6:30 p.m.!!
