Message from Principal

Skyline Families,

It’s been a fantastic week at Skyline as we celebrate and say goodbye to our incredible Class of 2025! We are so grateful for their leadership, resilience, and the lasting legacy they leave behind. As we head into their final week of high school, we’re excited for the senior events ahead — all leading up to our graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 24th at 9:00 AM. Meanwhile, students in grades 9–11 will be wrapping up the year with final exams next week. Please review the schedule below and help us ensure a strong and successful finish to the school year. Thank you for your continued support!

Class of 2025 Events:

Scholarship Season Is Here — and Falcons Are Soaring! :  We’re beyond excited to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our Skyline seniors as scholarship season is officially underway — and our Falcons are flying high!

A huge congratulations to Breanne Baker, who has been named a Daniels Fund Finalist — one of the most prestigious recognitions for leadership, character, and the drive to make a difference!

At the recent St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation Scholarship Night, twelve incredible Skyline students were honored for their academic excellence. And the celebrations didn’t stop there — seven more Falcons received scholarships through the HEF Foundation!

Thank you to the SVVSD Education Foundation and @hef_longmont for recognizing the hard work, resilience, and bright futures of our students. The momentum is real, and the future is bright!

We’re also proud to announce our partnership with Twin Peaks Rotary to honor two amazing Falcons:  The Compassion Award for an outstanding junior who leads with heart and the Slick Haley Award for a senior who has overcome challenges with determination and grace.

Special shout-outs to two of our shining stars in the arts:  Nellie Lozoya was the only student in the district to apply for the Cundall Art Scholarship — and she earned $5,000! Nellie will be attending UNC this fall.  Hexxus Hunter secured a massive $80,000 scholarship to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where they will begin this fall!

We’ll keep sharing more scholarship celebrations as they roll in. Thank you for believing in our students and helping them soar!

Falcon Tech & Small Business – Front Range Graduation: On Tuesday night, we celebrated a remarkable achievement as 21 FalconTECH students earned their Associate’s Degree from Front Range Community College — all before graduating high school! We also had 17 students earn their small business certification from Front Range as well.  Coupled with 3 students who completed their degree in their 5th year, Skyline had 41 students at this commencement!  This incredible milestone reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and a deep commitment to academic excellence. These students have truly exemplified what it means to be future-ready, and we couldn’t be more proud of their dedication and success. Way to go, Falcons!

NHS Induction:  On Tuesday evening, we also proudly celebrated the induction of 27 outstanding students into Skyline’s National Honor Society! The ceremony was a beautiful tribute to scholarship, leadership, service, and character — the four pillars of the NHS. We are so excited to welcome these new members into this prestigious organization and look forward to the impact they will continue to make in our school and community. Congratulations, Falcons!

Skyline Feeder Concert:   On Saturday we had another great day at Skyline! We welcomed our feeder schools for a fantastic feeder concert, showcasing incredible talent of our future Falcons and our current Falcons!

Performing Arts Capstone Night:   Last Tuesday night we honored our performing arts students at our capstone/senior night. The class of 2025 is a very talented group with an extremely bright future!

Falcon Family Night:   Last Thursday night we held our first Falcon Family Night — a fantastic event bringing our community together as we build momentum for continued excellence next year!  Look for details in the fall for more information and opportunities.

Mark your calendars:  Please mark your calendars for May 19, 2025 starting @ 3:15PM in Vance Brand Auditorium as we will be celebrating our student/athletes who will be competing at the collegiate level by holding a signing day celebration.

Last student days for CETC & IC:  CETC & IC last class days for underclassmen was today May 16th for A day students  and will be May 19th for B day students.  Seniors finished all classes at the same time on May 15th.
