Message from Principal

Dear Falcon Parents/Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well! It’s hard to believe we’re only a week away from Thanksgiving Break, and the semester continues to fly by as we work hard heading into the holiday.

Now for the critical countdown: with the break approaching, we are left with only four highly focused weeks remaining in the semester! This is the time for every student to maximize their potential and finish strong.

Thank you for everything you do to make Skyline High School a great environment for our students to grow and thrive. Our commitment to clear communication and strong partnerships remains essential to student success.

I am writing  to share a shift in our administrative and counseling support teams. Effective immediately, students are now assigned based on the letters of their last name. This adjustment is designed to strengthen the coordination between our counselors and administrators and provide more streamlined support to our students. Please see below your child’s new assigned counselor and administrator.

Table listing student last name ranges with assigned counselors and administrators, noting contact for activities questions.

Falcon Achievements and Excellence!

We have so much to celebrate this week!

  • Honoring Veterans: Our Band did a fantastic job performing at the local Veterans Day parade, bringing energy and pride to the event and honoring those who have served.
  • DECA Excellence: We had a large group of nearly 60 students represent us at the DECA conference at the University of Northern Colorado! Skyline is thrilled to announce that nine students qualified for the state competition. Huge congratulations to:
    • Ceille Spottiswoode (Principles of Business Management)
    • Alexa Jimenez and Jesus Huerta (Travel and Tourism Team)
    • Marely Villanueva and Daisy Viera (State Officer Competition)
    • Marisol Sanchez and Ariday Landeros (Integrated Marketing Campaign/Event)
    • D’Andre Lara and Nayeli Gonzalez (Integrated Marketing Campaign/Product)
  • We have exciting news from our performing arts program! Please join us in giving a massive Falcon roar of congratulations to Raine Schwartz, who has been named to the prestigious Colorado All-State Jazz Treble Choir!  This honor is the culmination of incredible talent, rigorous practice, and dedication. Raine’s selection places them among the very best high school jazz vocalists in the entire state. Congratulations, Raine, on this outstanding achievement!
  • Welcoming Future Falcons: Our dedicated Student Ambassadors demonstrated fantastic leadership and school pride as they hosted our feeder middle schools on Tuesday, connecting with future Falcons! That evening, we hosted an Open House with a tremendous turnout, and it was wonderful to meet so many prospective students and families excited about joining us for the 2026-27 school year.

As we look forward to Thanksgiving Break, we’re incredibly proud of the dedication and achievements of our Falcon students. Our commitment to academic excellence and personal growth remains steadfast. Please join me in congratulating our October Students of the Month and our Student Athletes of the Month, pictured below.

Thank you for being such an essential part of our incredible community! #WeAreSkylineEveryDay!

Sincerely,

Cold and Flu season is upon us! Please do what you can to keep illnesses to a minimum. Encourage regular hand washing, especially prior to eating, get a flu shot if you are able, and stay home or keep you students home when they are sick. Students with asthma and other chronic conditions can take special care to maintain their health and avoid illness triggers. Regular sleep and eating habits will also help to prevent you and your students from getting sick or help to make an illness less severe.
