Message from Principal
Dear Skyline Families,
We’re just one week away from Spring Break, and this is the perfect time to finish strong! When we return, there will be only nine weeks left in the school year—just seven and a half for our seniors. Let’s make every moment count and ensure everyone stays on track to finish successfully.
It’s been inspiring to see our students working hard, staying engaged, and making the most of every opportunity to grow. Their dedication and enthusiasm are truly remarkable! Let’s keep up the momentum, push through this final week before break, and come back ready to finish the year strong. We’re proud of our Falcons—let’s make it happen!
Mariachi Shines:Our Skyline Mariachi group had an incredible week, showcasing their talent and hard work! On Thursday, we had the honor of hosting the CHSAA Mariachi Festival, where groups from across the state came together to celebrate this beautiful musical tradition. This event was truly amazing and highlighted the dedication and passion of our students. We are so proud of them!

DECA Shines at the State Level: Please join us in a huge round of applause for our incredible DECA State Team! Marely Villanueva, Daisy Viera Simental, D’Andre Lara, Marisol Sanchez, Ariday Landeros, Nayeli Gonzalez, and Cielle Spottiswoode represented Skyline with absolute class and professionalism at the recent DECA State Conference.
Beyond their competitive success, our students proved that their hearts are as big as their ambitions. We are so proud to announce that the Skyline DECA Chapter was recognized for donating the most money to Kenzi’s Causes for Colorado District 7! This honor is a beautiful reflection of the generosity and community spirit that defines our school.
Individual Honors & International Recognition
The excitement doesn’t stop there! We have some major individual achievements to celebrate:
- State Leadership: A massive congratulations to Marely Villanueva, who was selected as one of only 18 DECA State Officers for all of Colorado!
- Elite Competition: Both Marely and Daisy competed against 64 of the most outstanding DECA students from across the state—an incredible feat of skill and dedication.
- Heading to Internationals: Marely is officially bound for the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia! She will represent the state of Colorado and lead the Colorado Delegation Meeting on the international stage.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. They truly embody what it means to be a Falcon!

Art Shines at the State Level: Please join us in a huge round of applause for two of our incredibly talented Falcons, Lexi Hill and Fiona Anderson! We are thrilled to announce that they have both been awarded the prestigious Colorado Art Awards Silver Key.
This is an extraordinary achievement. Lexi and Fiona were selected from thousands of entries across the state, placing their work among the very best in Colorado. Being recognized at this level is a testament to their dedication, creative vision, and technical skill.
Our Visual Arts department continues to reach new heights, and we couldn’t be prouder of how Lexi and Fiona have represented the Skyline community. Their work reminds us all of the power of student voice and the incredible talent we have right here in our hallways.

Math students set to compete: We are so excited to announce that siblings Jason and Clarissa Roman will be representing Skyline High School this Saturday morning at the prestigious UNC Math Competition! This is a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their talents and compete alongside some of the brightest mathematical minds from across the state and region. We are incredibly proud of their dedication to academic excellence and the way they represent the spirit of curiosity and hard work that defines our Skyline community. Please join us in wishing Jason and Clarissa the very best of luck—go Falcons! Thank you to Ms. Schahrer for supporting this opportunity.
