Bio

Rosalinda (Rosie) Rojas was born in Laredo, Texas, and lived in Mission, Texas, for eight years. She is one of 10 siblings in a family of migrant workers who began working in the fields with Tanaka Farms in Longmont. For eight years, her family migrated for work until 1990, when her parents decided to settle in Colorado after two of her older sisters received scholarships to attend CU Boulder. Both sisters graduated with teaching degrees, inspiring the younger siblings to follow in their footsteps. Rosie is grateful for the opportunities that allowed her and her siblings to pursue their passion for teaching.

Rosie has been happily married to her husband, Juan, for 23 years. They have three children: Odalys, the oldest, Miguel, the middle child, and Ariana, the youngest. For the past 14 years, she and her husband have managed a small remodeling company that keeps them busy. Rosie and her family enjoy spending time with friends and family.
