Bio
I used to be a trial lawyer. One of the questions I get asked most often by students is why would I choose a career as a high school teacher over that of an attorney? I never have to answer. Invariably another student in the class will come up with the answer for me. I love it when students demonstrate critical thinking skills. That, by the way, IS the answer. When I am not savoring the brilliance, of you, the student, I also read and write whenever I can. Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” On a personal note, I try to spend as much time as I can with my wife and two boys, ages 11 and 8. And if you really want to get me off-topic, ask me about marathons, triathlons, or climbing Colorado 14ers. Best of all combine the topics and ask me about my favorite side-job, coaching my sons’ elementary cross country and track teams.
