Message from Principal
Dear Falcon Parents/Guardians,
Our Falcons made the most of this short week in their classrooms. In science, students engaged in the design process, building prototypes to see if they could land a rocket on a planet. In Spanish, students continued expanding their vocabulary in a second language, culminating in presentations where they applied their new vocabulary to meet speaking objectives. During Wednesday’s late start meeting, our staff collaborated to enhance their skills by implementing Thinking Maps & Path to Proficiency, which help students organize their thoughts and transition them into writing to strengthen critical thinking.
Last Friday night, our amazing students filled the stands with energy and pride, creating an incredible atmosphere in the student section to cheer on our football team and cheerleaders! At the same time, our talented one-act cast and crew have been hard at work, putting in hours of preparation for their upcoming performances—we can’t wait to see their creativity shine on stage.
Our Falcon athletic programs are also off to a fantastic start this season! Volleyball has already battled through their fourth game, our cross-country team had a strong showing in their first meet, and our soccer program—with Varsity, JV, and C teams—has jumped right into one of the toughest schedules in the state with determination and heart. Even though our football team came up short against Silver Creek, they fought with resilience and pride. And a huge shoutout to our cheerleaders, who not only fired up the crowd with their spirit but also debuted their sharp new uniforms!
It’s such an exciting time to be a Falcon. Please continue encouraging your students to get involved in the many activities happening around Skyline—there’s truly something for everyone!

- Code of Conduct: Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.
- To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct for the current school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.

Cafeteria Update
Ala Carte: In addition to free breakfast and lunch, our cafeteria will be offering purchase options for students who would like to do so ala carte. Here is what is going to be offered for purchase.
Breakfast
- Hours: A la carte will be offered from 7:20AM to 8:00 AM. This is a smart approach, as it allows students to purchase items before classes begin without disrupting the school day.
- Free Breakfast: Free breakfast will still be available from 7:20 to 10:00 AM, so students have a choice between the two options.
Lunch
- Hours: The a la carte line will open right after the main lunch line begins serving.
- Location: Line 2 will be dedicated to a la carte items.
Important Notes for Students
- Exact Change Only: This is the most crucial part of the process. Students will not receive change back for a la carte purchases.
- Remaining Funds: Any money a student overpays will be added directly to their lunch account.
- Adding Money: Students can also add money to their lunch accounts online.
