Message from Principal

Dear Skyline Families,

It is truly inspiring to see our students’ sustained engagement as we move further into the semester! Next week, nearly 230 of our students will participate in the ACCESS testing window, completing the reading, writing, and listening assessments to demonstrate their growth in language proficiency and acquisition.

Beyond testing, we are seeing an impressive number of students proactively seeking additional time with their teachers to bolster their skills and master challenging concepts. This renewed commitment to academic rigor is a testament to our students’ dedication. We remain committed to fostering this momentum and continuing to challenge every student to reach their highest potential this semester.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Skyline High School has been named to the prestigious AP School Honor Roll at the Bronze Level. This distinction recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated educators and the academic ambition of our students. While we celebrate this milestone, we are already looking ahead; our current data shows that we are steadily closing the gap toward the Silver Level. We remain committed to expanding access to rigorous coursework and ensuring that every student at Skyline has the opportunity to excel at the highest level.

Reminder for CETC & Innovation Center Students: Don’t miss the bus! Please remind your student to leave class early enough to reach their scheduled shuttle on time. Teachers are aware of the schedule and it is posted throughout the school.  We want to encourage students to practice great time management to ensure a smooth transition to their off-site programs.

Tribute to teachers:  Each year the St. Vrain Valley Education Foundation honors outstanding educators from around the district.  If you would like to nominate an outstanding teacher from Skyline, here is your opportunity to do so.  Please click on the link below and nominate a teacher from Skyline.

Health Information

Cold and Flu season is upon us! Please do what you can to keep illnesses to a minimum. Encourage regular hand washing, especially prior to eating, get a flu shot if you are able, and stay home or keep you students home when they are sick. Students with asthma and other chronic conditions can take special care to maintain their health and avoid illness triggers. Regular sleep and eating habits will also help to prevent you and your students from getting sick or help to make an illness less severe. Please reach out to our school health or attendance teams if you have any questions or need assistance.

iPad Insurance and Fees

Students can still add iPad Insurance, just bring your iPad up to the Library to be inspected by Mrs. Sebring. After inspected the fee will be added in Infinite Campus, and parents can pay either online or in the main office.

Payments can be made online through Infinite Campus under Fees (preferred) or in person at the office card or exact cash only (change is not available)

The iPad insurance fee will be reduced or waived for students eligible for a free or reduced price lunch under the federal poverty income guidelines and homeless students as defined by McKinney-Vento.
