We are absolutely thrilled to report that our students have returned from break completely recharged and ready to soar to the finish line! The energy in the halls this week is fantastic as we approach the end of the semester in just two short weeks.

This is the final push! Let’s encourage every Falcon to activate their focus and sprint through their remaining assignments. Our Final Exams kick off soon, and we want everyone to feel prepared and confident.

Time to get those study guides ready! Below is your official Winter 2025 Finals Schedule.

**Please note all CETC and IC classes will conclude on Tuesday, December 16th.

Way to represent Skyline!

Highlights from Our Business Class Students: Our students continue to demonstrate exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and academic achievement beyond the classroom. Their efforts highlight the real-world application of the concepts taught in our business courses.

  • Wyatt Greene and Josue Ruiz (AI Educator Certification Program): These two students have taken the proactive step of pursuing an AI Educator Certification Program. Their initiative is commendable, and we are eagerly awaiting the results of the grant proposal submitted to support this valuable professional development (this grant could be upward of 1 million dollars).
  • Sam Taylor (Entrepreneurial Operations Success): Sam, a standout student from our Entrepreneurial Operations course, developed a truly groundbreaking idea during the semester. After being accepted into the CSU Engineering program, Sam leveraged his course work to connect with the CSU Dean. As a result of this outreach, CSU is actively seeking a professor to mentor him and is considering offering paid research opportunities to develop his idea further while he is a student.
  • Luz Aguilera (Executive Outreach): Luz developed a compelling business concept and bravely reached out to Harold Dominguez to discuss her idea. Mr. Dominguez who is City planner for Longmont is willing to meet with her, which is a massive opportunity. We are currently working with Luz to ensure she takes full advantage of this executive mentorship opportunity and schedules the meeting promptly.

Our winter sports season launched with exciting competition on Tuesday and continued throughout the week. We’re thrilled to see so many student-athletes showcasing their talents in Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Girls Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, and Winter Cheerleading. It’s shaping up to be an action-packed and successful season ahead!

As we near the end of the semester, we couldn’t be prouder of our students’ dedication and accomplishments. At Skyline, we remain steadfast in our commitment to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth. Thank you for being an integral part of our incredible community!

Let’s keep motivating our students to finish the semester strong! Together, we’re building a solid foundation for every student’s success. Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support.  #WeAreSkylineEveryDay

Sincerely,

Anthony Barela
Principal, Skyline High School

Health Information

Cold and Flu season is upon us! Please do what you can to keep illnesses to a minimum. Encourage regular hand washing, especially prior to eating, get a flu shot if you are able, and stay home or keep you students home when they are sick. Students with asthma and other chronic conditions can take special care to maintain their health and avoid illness triggers. Regular sleep and eating habits will also help to prevent you and your students from getting sick or help to make an illness less severe. Please reach out to our school health or attendance teams if you have any questions or need assistance.

iPad Insurance and Fees

Students can still add iPad Insurance, just bring your iPad up to the Library to be inspected by Mrs. Sebring. After inspected the fee will be added in Infinite Campus, and parents can pay either online or in the main office.

For only $25, your student’s iPad and case are covered. If there is damage to the case or to the iPad and you do not have insurance, your fees could be between $250-$550 dollars.

Payments can be made online through Infinite Campus under Fees (preferred) or in person at the office card or exact cash only (change is not available)

The iPad insurance fee will be reduced or waived for students eligible for a free or reduced price lunch under the federal poverty income guidelines and homeless students as defined by McKinney-Vento.
