Falcon News August 29, 2025

Message from Principal

Dear Falcon Parents and Guardians,

We are so excited about the incredible things happening at Skyline right now! Our teachers are working hard to create enriching learning experiences, and it’s been inspiring to watch our students dive into their in-class assessments and assignments with focus and determination. We’re also fortunate to be working with an Apple curriculum coach, who is partnering with our staff to bring even more creativity and innovation into our classrooms.

Our fall sports season is off to a fantastic start as well! The volleyball teams have come out strong, and Cross Country is training with great energy as they prepare for their first meet. Soccer launched its season on Tuesday and has two games this week. Softball players are competing with Falcon pride, cheerleading has been working hard all summer to be ready to cheer on our teams and football is ready to kick off its season this Friday vs Silver Creek.

The support from our students and families makes all the difference—thank you for cheering on our athletes and celebrating the dedication of our amazing coaches!

We’re excited to announce that Skyline Theatre has officially wrapped up tryouts for this fall’s production!  This year’s student-directed one-act plays will take on a playful twist with the theme: “The Seussification of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

It’s always such a joy to watch our talented students shine—on stage and behind the scenes—as they come together to create unforgettable performances. Stay tuned, you won’t want to miss it!

We are delighted to have our students back in school, and the energy in our classrooms is truly palpable. We value the opportunity to work with your children and with you each day.

Code of Conduct: Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.

To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct for the current school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.

Payments can be made online through revtrak (preferred) or in person at the office card or exact cash only (change is not available)

Cafeteria Update

Ala Carte: In addition to free breakfast and lunch, our cafeteria will be offering purchase options for students who would like to do so ala carte.  Here is what is going to be offered for purchase.

Breakfast

  • Hours: A la carte will be offered from 7:20AM to 8:00 AM. This is a smart approach, as it allows students to purchase items before classes begin without disrupting the school day.
  • Free Breakfast: Free breakfast will still be available from 7:20 to 10:00 AM, so students have a choice between the two options.

Lunch

  • Hours: The a la carte line will open right after the main lunch line begins serving.
  • Location: Line 2 will be dedicated to a la carte items.

Important Notes for Students

  • Exact Change Only: This is the most crucial part of the process. Students will not receive change back for a la carte purchases.
  • Remaining Funds: Any money a student overpays will be added directly to their lunch account.
  • Adding Money: Students can also add money to their lunch accounts online.

Yearbooks are on sale – Back to School Special!

The 2025-2026 Skyline High School yearbook is available to order now for the special price of $65 – this is the lowest price it will be all year!

Booster Club

Our next meeting: will be at the school on Wednesday, September 10th at 6:30pm, following the Falcon Family Night event. See you there!

Skyline Booster Club is proud to be part of #YouthSportsGivingDay 2025, and we’re getting ready for kickoff on Sept. 3rd at 6:00 p.m.  We are asking for all donations and membership dues this year to be donated through Youth Sports Giving Day to take advantage of the matching funds.   Please consider donating to support Skyline students and athletes.

Every donation will be matched, so your impact goes even further. This is your chance to make a real difference for our organization and support our students. Making your donation early is key—matching funds are limited, and the earlier you give, the more your support will be amplified. That said, donations will continue to receive a percentage match throughout the entire campaign, so every gift still goes further.

Starting Sept. 3rd at 6 p.m. through Sept. 17th, you can support Skyline Booster Club directly through a donation that supports Skyline students.  All funds donated to the Booster Club will go back to the students. The Booster Club provides support to all our teams, and clubs.

Learn more and get ready to give at https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Skyline-Booster-Club.   Want to help level the playing field for young athletes in our community? Mark your calendar, spread the word and get ready to give.

Thanks!

Skyline Booster Club
