Message from Principal

Dear Falcon Parents/Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m excited to share some announcements and updates from Skyline High School.

This week, our students showed incredible school spirit during Spirit Week! From cozy pajamas on Monday to Halloween colors on Tuesday, “Rhyme Without Reason” on Wednesday, costumes on Thursday, and beautifully painted faces for El Día de los Muertos on Friday, the creativity and enthusiasm were inspiring. It’s wonderful to see our students fully engaged—even after a fun-filled Halloween night!

As a quick reminder, don’t forget to turn your clocks back on Saturday night as Daylight Savings Time ends. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep!

Academic Achievements:

Our school community has made significant strides this month. Attendance continues to improve, with a 1% overall increase in September and a remarkable 3% boost among students who have historically missed significant time—meaning nearly 100 more students are arriving on time and ready to learn! In addition, our junior class achieved impressive results on the recent PSAT/NMSQT, with a 27-point increase in writing and a 10-point increase in math, for a total improvement of 37 points over last year!

Our students also impressed us in the annual door decorating competition, with Advisory classes collaborating on wonderfully creative designs. It’s always a joy to see such teamwork and artistic expression.

Our talented Mariachi students showcased their incredible skills at the Longmont Tamale Festival last Saturday afternoon, delivering a fantastic performance. Meanwhile, our robotics teams kicked off their season with great success, advancing to the quarterfinal round in their first tournament of the year!

Upcoming Events:
