FRC Art 1703 Ceramics I
Ready to take your ceramics skills to the next level? This advanced ceramics course—offered in partnership with Front Range Community College—is designed for high school art students who’ve completed Beginning Ceramics and want to keep creating, exploring, and earning college credit at the same time.
Students will further refine their hand-building skills (pinch, coil, and slab) and may return to the pottery wheel if desired. The course also offers opportunities to experiment with new surface and firing techniques, including raku, a dramatic and exciting process that produces one-of-a-kind results.
Most importantly, this course emphasizes the development of each student's individual artistic voice. Through theme-based projects inspired by what’s happening right now in the contemporary ceramics world, students will create meaningful, expressive work that reflects their ideas and creativity.
Earn college credit. Grow your skills. Build your portfolio. Create your story in clay—right here in the Skyline Ceramics Studio.
