Message from Principal
Dear Falcon Parents/Guardians,
We wrapped up a fantastic and highly productive week here at Skyline! Our momentum as a learning community continues to grow, and we are deeply thankful for the dedication shown by our students, our staff, and all of you—our supportive parents and community members.
With this week now complete, we face a critical deadline: there are only seven crucial weeks remaining in the semester! This short time frame demands a focused, three-way partnership to ensure every student maximizes their potential.
With grades continuously updating in Infinite Campus, this is the moment for collaborative action:
- Students are urged to take ownership by checking their grades daily and communicating proactively with teachers.
- Parents, we encourage you to engage in a strategic reflection conversation with your student—celebrating successes, identifying any areas that need a swift ‘tune-up’ for focus and consistent effort, and setting clear, high-impact goals for the home stretch.
- Staff remains committed to providing the necessary feedback and targeted support to guide every student to the finish line.
This unified effort is essential to maximize every one of these last seven weeks and ensure all our Falcons end the semester strong!
To help students stay focused on academics and ensure a strong finish to the semester, Skyline will provide AAA support at our site through the remainder of the semester. See the details below:
Achievement Acceleration Academy(AAA):
- Targeted instruction for all grade levels.
- In addition, some students may have support focused on high school expectations and executive functioning.
- Daily snacks will be provided for after school participants.

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding talent and dedication of seven of our amazing student musicians! Please join us in congratulating the following students who successfully auditioned and were selected for the prestigious St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) Honor Orchestra! This highly selective honor showcases the top student musicians across the entire district, and their achievement truly reflects the excellence of the Skyline music program:
- Clarissa Roman: (Violin 1), Fernando Gurrola: (Viola), Shea Archie: (Cello), Matthew Legg: (Clarinet 2), Kate Walsh, Kylie Paul, and William Mathews: (Violin 2)
We are incredibly proud of their commitment and can’t wait to see them perform!
We are excited to celebrate one of our outstanding students, Wyatt Rickman, who has been named the Rotary Student of the Month! This honor specifically recognizes students who exemplify Rotary’s core value of Service Above Self. Wyatt’s commitment to making a positive impact on both our school and the wider community truly sets him apart. His dedication to service reflects the highest standards of Falcon character and citizenship. Please join us in congratulating Wyatt on this well-deserved achievement!
Skyline High School proudly took center stage this week as we hosted nearly 40 district-level personnel from across the nation! These leaders visited our campus specifically to learn about the innovative programs and amazing work we are accomplishing with our students. This national attention underscores Skyline’s status as a model for excellence in modern education.
We are here to support you and your family. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of our administrative team.
Sincerely,
Anthony Barela
Principal, Skyline High School
