
Message from Principal
Dear Falcon Parents and Guardians,
October is here and we look forward to cooler weather and the beautiful colors associated with fall. I’d like to begin by thanking you for your continued support of our staff and community.
Homecoming week this year was a tremendous success, featuring several highly anticipated events and a week of spirited participation. The week’s themes generated great enthusiasm: Monday was Wild West vs West Coast, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was Anything But A Backpack, Thursday was Early 2000’s, and Friday culminated in Class Colors/Spirit Day.
The week’s festivities included a historical first for the school: we held our inaugural parade in school history! The energy was infectious, and the excitement carried through to the final events. Our football team was victorious in their game, and the celebration was capped off with a successful dance on Saturday night.
We were delighted to hold our first Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday and Thursday. It was a pleasure to meet with so many of you and discuss the progress of our students. We trust that these conversations were valuable. As a reminder, please continue to check Schoology and Infinite Campus regularly for any missing assignments, as we are nearly halfway through the semester.
We’ve got an important day next week! We’re thrilled to administer our first round of SAT/PSAT testing next Wednesday, October 8th. This is a key event for all grades: our Juniors will take the official National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT), and our Freshmen and Sophomores will take a highly beneficial Practice SAT test. Seniors will get a break from the routine with an asynchronous learning day to focus on college applications and future planning.
Academic Momentum is Building! This testing day is a huge opportunity, and we have high expectations because the academic momentum here is strong! We are incredibly proud to announce that last year’s junior class raised their average score by a phenomenal 70 points on the PSAT/NMSQT, successfully breaking the 900-point barrier! We are confident that this year’s junior class is ready to meet, or even exceed, that incredible performance. Let’s make this testing day count!

- Four-Day Weekend: Please mark your calendars for the four-day weekend from Friday, October 10th through Monday, October 13th.
- Code of Conduct: Please review the updated Code of Conduct and complete the parent acknowledgment online. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.
- Animals on Campus: This is a reminder that animals are not allowed on the Skyline campus during school hours or at any extracurricular events. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of our students.

Family Falcon Night
Join us Wednesday, October 8th from 5:00-7:00pm at Skyline High School. Enjoy a complimentary meal and learn exactly what you need to know to graduate on time and afford college!
iPad Insurance and Fees
Students can still add iPad Insurance, just bring your iPad up to the Library to be inspected by Mrs. Sebring. After inspected the fee will be added in Infinite Campus, and parents can pay either online or in the main office.
For only $25, your student’s iPad and case are covered. If there is damage to the case or to the iPad and you do not have insurance, your fees could be between $250-$550 dollars.
Payments can be made online through Infinite Campus under Fees (preferred) or in person at the office card or exact cash only (change is not available)
The iPad insurance fee will be reduced or waived for students eligible for a free or reduced price lunch under the federal poverty income guidelines and homeless students as defined by McKinney-Vento.

Athletics & Activities
