Through student input, St. Vrain adopts financial literacy into graduation requirements

In this era of credit cards, PayPal, online shopping, and sophisticated marketing, many parents feel challenged to instill a sense of financial responsibility in their teens.
However, it was not parents, teachers, administrators or school board members – but last year’s Student Advisory Council (SAC) which was the driving force behind the district’s new Financial Literacy requirement.

February's Falcons of the Month

NEW Continental Breakfast Program

Skyline High School is pleased to announce our new Continental Breakfast Program! Students now have the opportunity to eat a FREE breakfast at school, everyday, between 1st and 2nd period. Carts are placed throughout our school and are fully stocked with at least ten items to chose from.

Join Us For Coffee with the Principal: March's Topic - College Readiness Exams

Join Principal Ringer and other Skyline faculty on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the library from 7:45 - 8:45 AM. March's Coffee will provide information and tips that will help all 9th -11th grade students prepare for and take the college readiness exams scheduled for April. We hope you can join us. 

How to Practice for the SAT

On April 11, 2017, all sophomores and juniors in Colorado will be taking the PSAT 10 and SAT at their home schools. The good news? It’s free! AND you don’t have to do a thing to register. But wait … there’s more! Millions of dollars in scholarships (yes, millions…) are tied to both assessments, so even if you’re not 100% sure about your after-high-school plans, still use this time to prepare just in case - they’re there anyways, might as well get the most you can out of it!

AP Online Registration Opens February 21st

Advanced Placement testing is fast approaching. Registration for the AP exams opens on Tuesday, Feb. 21st and runs through Tuesday, March 14th.

Longmont Public Library Celebrates the Artists of Skyline with a New Exhibit

The Longmont Public Library will house a special exhibit featuring the work of Skyline High School's artists this month. You can meet the artists at a special open house this Friday, February 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Longmont library. See the library's site for more details.
