- Carolyn Root graduated from UNC in 1996 with a major in fine art and a K-12 Art teaching certification. Through the years she has also added an endorsement in K-12 Vocal Music. She’s been a teacher in St. Vrain since 2009. She specializes in drawing and painting and is active in the local art community. She is married with two boys, both graduates of Skyline High School, and both VPA Academy alumni.
