Applications for the first P-TECH cohort are now being accepted

Completed applications are due on March 15th.

Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) is a new type of school that brings together the best elements of high school, college and the professional world. St. Vrain Valley School District has partnered with IBM and Front Range Community College to provide this unique opportunity to our students. Students enrolled in P-TECH will take high school and college courses, simultaneously working toward a High School Diploma and Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Information Systems. The P-TECH curriculum is structured around a five-year program. However, we will create opportunities for students to accelerate and complete the program in four years, and we will also include opportunities for students to complete in six years. The goal is for all students to graduate with their AAS degree.

All applicants must also submit two completed references. One reference should be from a teacher and one should be from an adult who is not a family member. Please download and print two copies of the following form: http://stvra.in/ptechreferences (en español: http://stvra.in/ptechespanol). Please ask each of your references to fill out this form and return it to your counselor no later than March 15th.

Please note: This is a rigorous academic program. It will require student dedication and maturity. St. Vrain Valley, IBM, and Front Range Community College expect all students accepted to this program to achieve both their High School Diploma and Associates of Applied Science degree.
