Laurel Beeken

I was born and raised in Boulder. For my junior year of high school I chose to spend the year studying abroad in France. After returning home and graduating from Boulder High, I spent a year studying in Spain and Costa Rica. After this I began my college career at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. After my sophomore year, I transferred back home to Colorado State in Ft Collins where I graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in French. After some time working as a translator and interpreter, I chose to return to school to get my teaching license. I began teaching French here at Skyline in 2007. Between then and now, I have completed my Master's in ESL and have truly enjoyed my time here at SHS. I take trips to France with students every few years and love seeing my students use the language they have learned!
