Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) is a new type of school which brings together the best elements of high school, college, and the professional world. St. Vrain Valley School District has partnered with IBM and Front Range Community College to provide this unique opportunity to our students. Students enrolled in P-TECH will take high school and college courses, simultaneously working toward a high school diploma and an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Information Systems. The P-TECH curriculum is structured around a five-year program. However, we will create opportunities for students to accelerate and complete the program in four years, and we will also include opportunities for students to complete in six years. The goal is for all students to graduate with their AAS degree.
Applications for P-TECH will be accepted on a continuous basis through January 26, 2018. Space is limited and restricted to incoming freshmen only. Applications are evaluated in the order in which they are received. To be considered for P-TECH, applicants must complete the application (see "Start Your Application" tab below), demonstrate motivation, and commitment, and be in good academic standing (in both grades and attendance).
Your P-TECH application will not be complete without sending this link to two current teachers who have agreed to be references. Copy and paste the link and share it in a well-written email to your selected teacher references.
Please note: This is a rigorous academic program. It will require student dedication and maturity. St. Vrain Valley, IBM, and Front Range Community College expect all students accepted to this program to achieve both their High School Diploma and Associates of Applied Science degree.
